Monitor
- HTTP(S) with expected status codes, a keyword that must be present or absent, a response-time limit, custom auth headers (stored sealed) and HEAD/GET/POST; TCP ports; ping (ICMP where the server allows it, a TCP reachability probe otherwise, and the page says which); SSL certificate expiry with days left and issuer; domain expiry through RDAP
- Intervals from 1 to 60 minutes, timeout, retries, "alert after N failed checks"; private monitors never appear on the public page
- Checks run from WP-Cron every minute and, better, from real cron through a keyed URL shown in Settings
- Locations: this server plus probe peers — other StatusPage installs that run your checks over REST with a shared token; "down" means N locations agree

How accurate is one-minute checking?
WP-Cron runs when visitors come; a quiet site may check later than scheduled. Use the keyed URL from Settings in a real crontab (every minute) for exact intervals.
Can checks come from another country?
Yes. Install StatusPage on a second site, copy its probe token into Locations here, and every check also runs there. Set how many locations must fail before a monitor counts as down.
Does ping work on shared hosting?
Only where PHP may run the system ping. Elsewhere the monitor falls back to a TCP reachability probe and labels the result as such.
Where are credentials kept?
Monitor auth headers and peer tokens are sealed with libsodium under a site-specific key and never sent to the browser.
