Overview

KafkaStream wraps librdkafka with producer, consumer and admin modules behind a subsystem. Helper nodes validate topic names and bootstrap broker lists.

Fork note The brand module EasyKafka was renamed to KafkaStream for UE 4.27–5.0+ (domain modules KafkaConsumer/Producer/Admin and the bundled KafkaLib kept). A validation helper library was added.
Disabled by default This plugin ships the bundled third-party library librdkafka (KafkaLib) and is shipped with "EnabledByDefault": false. Enable it from Edit → Plugins (or set the flag in its .uplugin) once the library builds on your target platform.

Installation

  1. Copy the KafkaStream folder into your project's Plugins/ directory.
  2. C++ projects: regenerate project files and build. Blueprint-only projects can launch the editor directly.
  3. Open Edit → Plugins and confirm KafkaStream is enabled (it is off by default — turn it on).

Subsystem

Producer / consumer / admin operations are driven through UKafkaStreamSubsystem and the Kafka domain modules. See Source/KafkaStream and the sibling Kafka modules.
